Since so many people asked me, here is my little birthday dinner. For the romantic occasion, this is for two people:
Butter fried garlic monster Prawns
6 real large Prawns
Oil
Butter
Minced garlic
Cream
Heat very little oil, just a film in a pan.
Add the prawns and cook for only a few minutes, do not overcook. The flesh turns white when they are done.
Add a knob of butter, some garlic and some cream.
Cook until cream changes into golden brown.
Serve hot.
Scotch filet.
2 thick filets, any fat trimmed off
Oil
Butter
Minced garlic
Cream
Little side salad to taste?
Heat oil in a pan, when really hot add the steaks and cook on both sides rare to medium rare.
Add a knob of butter, some garlic and some cream.
Cook until cream changes into golden brown.
Serve hot.
Fresh Shark
Here we call it barrel shark, it means you need chops or a whole baby shark, no longer than 60 cm and no filets. Cut if needed 2 4-5 cm thick cutlets.
Oil
Butter
Heat a little oil and when medium hot add the shark.
Let fry, covered with a lid until brown, turn shark and repeat.
Just before done (flesh is white and flaky) add knob of butter and pinch of salt.
Serve hot
